My introduction to Flash Design

I have been working with Macromedia Flash since day one of my career as a web designer, although 90% of my work is coding XHTML.

I think Flash is excellent; it's fun, easy to learn and looks impressive. However I believe that Flash used in the wrong way can destroy web sites completely.

If you are creating a web site completely in Flash then search engines are simply not going to find you at all, this is just down to zero content being indexed. You will see a lot of big companies like Nike and Coca Cola use Flash extensively simply because SEO is not a problem, you know the company well due to major branding, so people will find them on the web wherever they appear in the search engine's database. When the brief for a web site is simply to grab people's attention and create a huge wow factor then Flash away, go mental!

Flash mp3 Player

The code for this mp3 player was originally created by Zain Syed from www.flashmatics.com, so I do want to say thanks for enabling me to create my own style from the original.
